Tony Abbott Says Labor Branches Are Being Swamped By Asians
He might as well have said that in Tuesday's parliamentary outburst.
The Herald reports that he said "Mr Pakula may be very appealing to Cambodian speaking people who are just two per cent of the electorate of Hotham but they're 30 per cent of the Labor preselectors of Hotham", and then "I'm reading in The Australian last Friday, he's (Mr Crean) still got the Greek branches but he's lost the Spanish branches and he's lost the Vietnamese branches as well as the Cambodian branches. And I couldn't help but think - are there any Australians left in the so-called Australian Labor Party today?"
Remember this is the same Tony Abbott who helped form the infamous Australians for Honest Politics Fund to get One Nation off the poltiical landscape in 1998 because it was thought multiculturalism and immigration were subjects that shouldn't be discussed.
Coupled with recent anti-multicultural statements from John Howard, Andrew Robb, Peter Costello and Danna Vale, some of the very people whose policy has been for the last eight years "Put One Nation last", we only ask: when will the people of Australia realise that for eight years they have been severely hoodwinked?
