Blame Globalisation and Privatisation For Horse Flu Outbreak

The equine flu outbreak, which seems to have started in horses imported from Japan,  might open peoples' eyes to how privatisation and globalisation have destroyed the integrity of Australia's quarantine system.

This  system was once the envy of the civilised world. an inpenetrable barrier which successfully kept out any "nasties" that could harm  our primary industries. Since it was privatised and handed over to Biosecurity Australia it has been reduced to the level of "beyond reasonable doubt" in which the dangers of importing infected livestock or primary products are weighed up against "commercial imperatives" and commitments made in the
name of free trade.

The dangers imported diseases have posed to our banana crops, fishing stocks, poultry  and apple industries for instance, in recent years, have passed over the heads of our mainstream city media. Now, when the big dollars of the elites who run the horse-racing racket, which is itself heavily intertwined with the media, are involved, the media has suddenly stood up and taken notice.

One Nation says: move the quarantine process  back to  full Governmental control and put the interests of all Australians before sectional commercial interests and  discredited ideas like free trade.
