Will Rudd's Action on Violence Against Women and Children Tackle FGM, Slavery and Notoriously Unjust Rape Trials ?

Kevin Rudd's launch on April 29th of the Time for Action report on violence against women and children was another calculated distraction destined to achieve nothing.

Will the "zero tolerance" he talked about include action on Female Genital Mutilation, sex-slavery and reform of the rape laws to protect victims against intimidation in court by unscrupulous defense lawyers?

On the past form of Labor's promises on social issues we would have to say "no".

While Emily's List and the rest of the gaggle of ALP feminazis prattle on about glass ceilings and affirmative action, women are being brought into hospitals in Western Sydney suffering terrible injuries from botched female genital mutilation operations, women and children are being abused in remote aboriginal communities, immigrant women from Asia and Eastern Europe are kept as slaves in brothels to pay back the money they owe the people smugglers and statistics from many sources show the vast majority of sexual assault perpetrators never go to jail.

A pretty good affirmative action policy, huh?

Furthermore if Rudd stands for the rights of women why doesn't he condemn the one-child policy of Communist China where women who already have one child are dragged off to hospital and forcibly aborted if they have a second.

Rudd's launch of Time for Action was another Labor non-event like signing the Kyoto Protocol on global warming that doesn't exist, saying "sorry" to a stolen generation that was never stolen and solving unemployment by cutting the contracts of the agencies that find people jobs.

One Nation says our Government should forget spin and distractions and solve the real problems facing women, children and working families in this country.
